Jatin Ku Patra
Jatin works for an organisation called ADHIKAR which he helped set up in 1999.
ADHIKAR works for the poorest people in over 30 villages around Khalipathar.
ADHIKAR's office is in a village called Juba, just 4km from Khalipathar. Jatin drives his motorbike to Khalipathar most days. He drives along a dusty road and through a stream before reaching the village.
ActionAid funds some of ADHIKAR's work so Jatin works closely with people like Bharati, Pam, Biren and Sharanya who you may have read about already.
The RCC is a big part of Jatin's life. He loves being with the children and often plays cricket with them in the evenings.
"The RCC helps the children through the darkness to light in every way - educationally, culturally, socially. It frees them from feeling that they are untouchable."
He says that there have been lots of good changes in Khalipathar but some of them are hard to measure, for example, "when someone realises that they do have the right to a better life."
