Andra Pradesh is a state to the south of Orissa
It is over 300km away from Khalipathar village.

Many of the poorest people from Khalipathar are forced to travel to Andra Pradesh to work in the brick-kilns. There are 500 families living in Khalipathar and 40 to 50 percent of them go to Andra Pradesh every year.

They travel by train from Kantibanji train station. This is 20km away from Khalipathar. The journey takes three days and is packed with thousands of people who are also having to leave their homes to work in the brick-kilns.
