Jane Davies
Jane is an education officer at ActionAid UK. She spends most of her time producing resources to be used in UK schools. These resources help children in the UK learn about life in developing countries and about development issues. She also trains teachers to introduce global issues into their classes. Recently she took Barnaby Bear to Kenya, and is now working on a resource for 4 - 7 year olds.

Jane loves travelling and goes on holiday as much as possible. In her spare time she does yoga and has just started playing Ultimate Frisbee.

Q: [from Alex Elizabeth] Do you have any friend's in India.
A: I've never actually been to India so don't have friends there. I would love to visit though.

Q: [from Landa and Sanda] Dear Jane, We are wondering what your starsign is? and when you were you born?
A: I was born on the 7th April, so I'm Aries.

Q: [from my name is Emma] How old are you? Do you come from a poor background? Have you got a big family?
A: I'm 31. I have one brother, he's 28. I'd say I come from a pretty average background for the UK.

Q: [from Candy and Mandy] Dear Jane, Is it fun looking after children in India?
A: I've never been to India, but I've taught in the UK, Kenya and Romania. Sometimes it's fun but it's also really hard work.
