ActionAid's work I had the chance to visit a couple of ActionAid projects. One big thing they do is to set up education centres for children who can't get to the normal schools, and run adult education campaigns. They also help people to stay healthy by supporting health education, improving health services and helping people to get clean water. ActionAid don't just go into an area and start working. They find out what the people want to happen and then help them to do this.
