Real lives
Anand and Radhika live in a Bangalore slum called Flower Gardens.
There isn't enough electricity or clean water in the slum and it used to be full of rubbish. The people in Flower gardens lobbied the Slum Board to do something, and in the end they agreed to take the rubbish.
Anand and Radhika both have to work to help their families. Anand helps his dad sell guavas on the streets of the slum and Radhika cleans people's houses.
Radhika is lucky enough to go to school but Anand has to work all day. In the evening they go to the Child Development Centre (CDC) which is run by ActionAid.
"I always go to the CDC after school. We read newspapers and play games. We also act out important things in our lives and then talk about them in a group. The CDC took us on a trip to Bannerghatta National Park. There were lots of leopards there."
