Real lives
Women in Ethiopia look after the children and do most of the household work. Their working day can be as long as 18 hours, and four hours of this could be spent just collecting water.

Girls are less likely to go to school than boys and less likely to get enough food. They might also be married when they are very young.

"I'm 15 and I have never been to school. I got married when I was 12, and that meant I definitely couldn't go to school after that. I was unhappy when I got married but I'm happy now."
